In the end, I still went through the procedure during the December holidays, and it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. Anyway, below is a image of the operation site when it was still recovering.

Something Unusual That Happened
This happened during the June holidays last year. I was supposed to undergo a tonsillectomy which is the surgical procedure of removing swollen and infected tonsils. I was very nervous as this would be my first ever operation. I changed into my operating gown which was like a Japanese Kimono, and sat in the waiting area, waiting for a nurse to lead me to the operating theatre. After what seemed like an eternity, the nurse finally came to lead me to the theatre. I started coughing, because that comes to me naturally when I am nervous. "Are you alright?" asked the nurse. "Yes, I'm fine" I replied in a muffled voice. I lay on the stretcher and soon the nurse pushed it to the OT. When I entered the OT, the anesthetist started to ask me questions and I kept replying. Finally he said, "I am going to insert a needle in your arm and attach it to the IV and my assistant will attach the electrocardiogram machine on you." After that was done, they lay me on the operating table. All of a sudden, the surgeon rushed in and ordered," Remove the IV and ECG machine, we are going to postpone his surgery." I didn't know if I was relieved or even more nervous because if the surgery is being postponed, something definitely went wrong, right? "He has an infection in his blood and if we were to proceed with the surgery there could be some complications," he continued. Soon after i was dismissed. Boy, was that weird or what?
